Meet Tasha Knight
Sometimes you discover your passion—and sometimes your passion finds you. That has certainly been true for me.
I’m Tasha Knight, founder of Web Design by Knight and Zero Click World, and my path into technology and digital strategy started long before either company existed.
My professional journey began in 1996, when I was building and managing a university library’s computer network. That role sparked a deep fascination with how technology connects people, information, and businesses. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a lifelong career.
As my expertise grew, I became a Microsoft Certified Trainer and authored an Exam Cram guide for Windows 2000 Server (MCSE). While technical mastery was essential, what truly shaped my career was learning how to translate complex technology into clear, practical solutions that real people could actually use.
In 2001, I founded Web Design by Knight, a boutique web design and website management firm grounded in creativity, usability, security, and responsiveness. From the start, my goal was simple: provide hands-on, personalized service that feels like an extension of a client’s own team. Every client works directly with our U.S.-based professionals and receives thoughtful, consistent support—never outsourced, never generic.
After more than 25 years in web design, digital strategy, and innovation, I still love problem-solving and helping businesses grow. As AI-driven discovery and search began rapidly reshaping how people find information, launching Zero Click World felt like a natural evolution. Today, we help businesses adapt, stay visible, and thrive in an AI-first digital landscape.
Our clients span the country and range from local Main Street businesses to national brands with multiple locations. No matter the size, we focus on long-term success, adaptability, and clarity.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my family and our dog.
Challenges Along the Way
Like most entrepreneurial journeys, mine has not been without challenges.
One of the most significant has been building and leading a woman-owned, woman-operated business in a technology industry that has traditionally been male-dominated. I’ve worked hard to prove—through results, expertise, and leadership—that I belong in this space.
I also built the company from the ground up without formal business training. While I had a strong technical foundation in web development, design, and systems, I learned many business lessons through hands-on experience, persistence, and adaptability.
As client needs evolved, another major challenge emerged: growing beyond web design alone. To better support our clients, we expanded into services such as digital marketing, social media management, video production, and CRM systems. Each expansion required careful planning, new expertise, and scalable processes—but ultimately strengthened the company and allowed us to support clients more holistically.
What We Do—and What Sets Us Apart
At Web Design by Knight, we offer comprehensive website design, management, security, and marketing services built for long-term success—not short-term fixes.
Personal service is the foundation of everything we do. We don’t stop at launching a website; we partner with our clients to ensure their online presence remains secure, effective, and aligned with their business goals as they grow and change.
Our clients work with a dedicated, U.S.-based team that understands their business history, objectives, and challenges. We never outsource overseas, and we never apply one-size-fits-all solutions. This approach allows for better communication, higher-quality work, and a level of accountability that’s difficult to achieve with rotating or outsourced teams.
We support business owners through every stage—from startup to growth to succession. Because of our strategic, hands-on approach, many clients stay with us for years. That longevity reflects deep trust, strong relationships, and consistent results.
We’ve grown almost entirely through referrals and word of mouth. We don’t rely on paid advertising or aggressive sales tactics. Instead, our work speaks for itself.
In addition to web design, we provide digital marketing, content strategy, social media management, video production, and CRM solutions. By keeping these services in-house, we create cohesive digital ecosystems that work seamlessly together—allowing our clients to focus on running their businesses while we manage their online presence.
Clients recommend us because they know we’re invested in their success and stand behind our work long after a project is complete.
Inspiration & Resources
Outside of work, I’m an avid reader of historical fiction, and Kristin Hannah is one of my favorite authors. I appreciate how she centers women’s resilience and voices within powerful historical narratives.
Professionally, I’m a regular listener of Nathaniel Whittemore’s The AI Daily Brief podcast. It’s one of my go-to resources for staying informed in the fast-moving world of artificial intelligence.
